Weekend Misadventure @ 1800 rs
well i think it was mostly boredom, sitting at home on an weekend and not the curiosity which took the toll this time. though the intentions were right but a slight impatience spoiled it.
Though it got salvaged in the end but ended up me buying a new keyboard for around 1800 rs (i was lucky)
Started with cleaning the fan as it used to or still makes a lot of noise and then generally thought to CLEAN the keyboard too, and doing so managed to get the cleaning solution generously all over it. so some of the keys stopped working, and if at that point i would have left it aside to dry up it would have survived but being top of my class i tried to dry it up with a hair dryer on hat air - and and the damn plastic of the keys were to sensitive! they kind of melted and deformed and came off!

Added a few more years to my Bike
Time to revive my bike out of the sheer neglect and decay.
Got new clutch plates & cable, new throttle cable, cleaned the carborater, new air hose pipe, new mud guards and the most difficult of the jobs - got rid of the rusting on the chassis and applied net coat of spray paint myself, fixed the leaking fuel tank (again due to rusting) with a layer of epoxy and a new coat of paint (though picked up a bad quality paint) polished the chrome and other parts - costed me 2 complete days and hell lot of an effort. but now it runs like a beauty - btw it still does 110 kmph easily with the same yamaha rxz spirit.

The Dream Machine - was never mine
I don't know whether i regret not buying it but it was surely the best experience driving this amazing machine for almost a week before i gave under all kind of LOGICAL pressure.
For the interested:
It was a soft top, folding front screen, Mahindra 340, modified to Willy's look with a 2800 cc Turbo Toyota Pirus engine, with front disc brakes, 300 mm wide tyres with alloy rims and would have costed around 1.75 lac rs.
Minor glitches: Issues on legal transfer & registration, a little over the edge decorations. May not be worth anything in resale and oh..........tiny little thing about not starting on its own for 4 out of 7 days i drove it.

Children of Lesser Gods
Was watching this special report on the Noida serial murders on NDTV presented by Barkha Dutt where she touched upon a very interesting aspect of our leagal/ law and order system which is so evidently biased and tilted towards the rich and the mighty, which litterally means 90% of the population gets/ have no right to justice. And this is not even 'justice delayed' its just simply denied because poors or unconnected have no right to demand fulfillment of there basic rights.
It was amazing to hear Kiran Bedi one of the speakers, to point out the reasons for the permanent disability of the police force to do anything. she even cited the example of how the police is told to curb crime by simply not registering it it, because if recorded it can become a problem for the politicians in the parliament or if the need to really act on the complaints arises how will they manage with the next to nothing infrastructure or the quality of policemen we have for ourself who are not even trained for proper investigations- imagine all this pointed by the Top Cop herself.
I think we should be either scared about this or be prepared to take things in our own hand if need be.
It was also quite irritating to see when Naresh Gupta - the father of kidnapped kid also Adobe's CEO was interviewed about the disparity in the investigations in his case vis-a-viz this present killings , to which he simply dodged the answers and above all that giving full marks to the Police also. Maybe he's still scared....................................................

hope we all get it right this year....
Hazaaron khwahishen aisi ke har khwahish pe dum nikle
bahot nikle mere armaan, lekin phir bhi kam nikle
..Thousands of desires, each worth dying for...
many of them I have realized...yet I yearn for more...
